     Angel Gonzalez, owner of The Platinum House jewelers, is a 1984 graduate of the Jewelry Institute of Rhode Island.  Following his education, he began an old world style internship with 2 European jewelers.   After gaining 6 years of experience in the industry, he decided to follow his childhood dream of opening his own business.  
The Platinum House located in the heart of Newport     Recognizing Newport, RI as an artist community, he felt it was the perfect location for him to call home.  Today, through 18 years and 3 locations, The Platinum House has grown from 5 pieces of jewelry to a full service retailer of many recognizable lines (including Ed Levin, Sue Gray SeaGlass, The Touch and Sebastiani Watches).   The Platinum House is well known in the area for it's custom design work and quality repairs.

   Angel attributes his success to his relationship with his customers.   He is the go-to-guy when it comes to wedding bands and engagement rings.   He works with couples and individuals to achieve their vision for the perfect piece of jewelry that will become a family hierloom for generations to come.
